The concept of the publication was to illustrate the evolution of print graphic design in Thessaloniki. The content is divided in three decades, grouped according to theme and presented in chronological order, in order to reveal emerging trends and influences in addition to design and technology advancements.

Editor Angelos Bakas explains:

“Our goal was to showcase the work of as many graphic designers as possible. Nevertheless, the book is not a complete record of graphic design work, neither is it a comprehensive historical study; it is rather an anthology of graphic design and designers in Thessaloniki. Through these pages, come to life long lost events, products and magazines, once popular and then forgotten. Similarly so, liven up contemporary projects, current events, venues, even products we use today.”

Introductory text by Stergios Delialis, founder of the Thessaloniki Design Museum.
